Spotlight on Skagit to Profile Local Businesses and Innovation
Spotlight on Skagit (formerly Schmooze Fair) has been northwest Washington’s premier business-to-business trade show for over a decade! Over 70 businesses and organizations are participating as exhibitors and the event is on track to exceed attendance counts from previous years. It is the place to be if you are looking to cultivate existing business relationships, engage prospective new clients, and learn about the diverse industries, businesses, and non-profits that contribute to Skagit County’s and the region's economy.
This year we are expanding Spotlight on Skagit’s focus to showcase the world-class innovation being generated right here in Skagit County! New to Spotlight on Skagit in 2018, the Innovation Speakers’ Forum will highlight local businesses with exciting innovations and projects that are changing the world and the way we do business. Speakers include Adam Foy, Vice President of Business Development at Skagit Valley Malting; Jorge Lozada, Senior Project Engineer at PACCAR Technical Center; Sarah VanTassel, President at Janicki Bioenergy; and Andries Breedt, Owner & Chief Engineer at Breedt Production Tooling and Design. For more information on these speakers, please visit our website at www.skagit.org.
From technology solutions and non-profits to prominent regional manufacturers, there will be a variety of local organizations to create lasting connections with. At the venue will be food to sample from Swinomish Casino & Lodge, Majestic Inn and Spa, and Shambala Bakery, as well as beer and wine from local brewers and vineyards served by Skagit River Brewery.
General Admission tickets can be purchased either at the door or in advance through www.skagit.org for $10.
